Windows 10 – How to add ‘This PC’ / ‘Computer’ icon to desktop

The following steps detail how to add the ‘This PC’ icon (previously known as ‘Computer’ or ‘My Computer’ to the desktop.

1. Using the search box in the taskbar, type ‘desktop icons’
2. When it appears, click on ‘Show or hide common icons on the desktop’
3. 
4. Under ‘Desktop icons’ place a tick next to ‘Computer’
5. 
6. Click ‘OK’ to save the changes.
