The following process can be used to hard reset (or wipe) a Blackberry 9000 bold when you do not know the unlock password (PIN number).
Hard resetting the Blackberry can be achieved by entering in the unlock password incorrectly more than 10 times.
After doing this the phone will ask you to type in the word ‘blackberry’ and click OK.
The phone will then proceed to wipe itself of all existing data.
