[SOLVED] MAC OS – Unable to log on – DS Error: -14987 (eUndfinedError )

Problem:

When using the Directory Services Command Line MAC OS tool you receive the following error message

ls: DS error: eUndefinedError

<dscl_cmd> DS Error: -14987 (eUndfinedError )

Solution:

This issue is usually caused by discrepancies between the time on the Active Directory Domain Controller servers and the MAC OS systems.

To resolve:

  1. Check the time is correct on all Domain Controllers
  2. Check the time is correct on the MAC OS system
  3. Attempt to rebind the MAC OS system to the Active Directory domain.
