Crystal Reports – Exclude page header and footer from last page

The following guide describes how to create a Crystal Report which will exclude the page header and footer from the last page. This can be helpful when you want to include a summary page at the end of the report.

In this example we are using Crystal Reports 2008 (version 12), however the same process should work with other versions of the Crystal Reports application.

  1. Open the report in Crystal Reports
  2. Open the ‘Report’ menu then select ‘Section Expert’
  3. Crystal2008-ExcludeHeader1
  4. Select the ‘Page Header’ section from the left hand menu
  5. Tick the ‘Suppress No Drill-Down’ option and click on the icon to the right of it
  6. Crystal2008-ExcludeHeader2
  7. In the formula field, enter in
  8. PageNumber = TotalPageCount
  9. Crystal2008-ExcludeHeader3
  10. Click ‘Save and close’ to save the changes
  11. Repeat the process for the ‘Page Footer’ section
  12. Click ‘OK’ to save the changes
  13. The report will now automatically exclude the page header and footer sections from the report.

  1. Hi,
I need help with Crystal Report:
How do I display a text object (term and conditions) at the bottom of the report, just on the last page of Crystal Reports?

  2. Hello, I want to suppress the page footer on one specific section only (details R) of my Crystal Report. Ideas? I have several sections with page numbers that reset, so it’s tricky.
