Google Chrome – How to disable ‘Show notification’ prompt

The following steps show how to disable the ‘Show notifications’ prompt in Google Chrome.

1. With Google Chrome open, click on the menu bar at the top right of the window then ‘Settings’
2. 
3. At the bottom of the settings window, click on ‘Show advanced settings’
4. 
5. Under the ‘Privacy’ heading, click on the ‘Content settings’ button
6. 
7. Under the ‘Notifications’ heading, select ‘Do no allow any site to show notifications’
8. 
9. Click ‘Done’ and close the settings tab
10. The notifications prompt will no longer display
