Disable User Access Control for Administrators

The following steps detail how to disable the Use Access Control (UAC) prompts when logged on as an Administrator.

  1. Click on the Windows (Start) button
  2. Enter “secpol.msc” into the start menu search box
  3. Expand ‘Local Policies’ and select ‘Security Options’
  4. Locate “User Account Control: Behavior of the elevation prompt for administrators in Admin Approval Mode” and double-click on it
  5. Set to ‘Elevate without prompting’
  6. Click ‘OK’ to save the changes.
