Windows 7 – Mount ISO Files

Unfortunately Windows 7 does not have the built in ability to mount ISO files, you can burn them to media however that is not always appropriate.

To add the ability to mount ISO files for free you will need to make use of a third party application – Virtual Clone Drive.

To Install:

  1. Go to the Virtual Clone Drive download page – http://www.slysoft.com/en/download.html
  2. Click on ‘Virtual CloneDrive (Freeware)’
  3. Run the installation using the standard options.
  4. You now have the ability to right click on an ISO file and mount it to a virtual CD drive.
