Windows 8 – How to disable app switching (top left click)

Windows 8 introduced a new feature that allows you to switch between open applications by clicking in the top left hand corner of the screen.

The steps below detail how to disable this feature.

  1. Right click the taskbar and select ‘Properties’

  3. Open the ‘Navigation’ tab
  4. Under ‘Corner Navigation’ un-tick ‘When I click the upper-left corner, switch between my recent apps‘

  6. Click ‘OK’ to save the changes.
